NONSENSE

Created by Robin O’Connor Lowe and Laurie Cousins 2021

Nonsense is a short film made in collaboration with Laurie Cousins for my final project on art foundation at Hereford College of Art.

It is ‘nonsense’ made to explore different art forms such as collage, mask making, textiles, as well as film making, directing and performance.

We created wierd and wonderful worlds to explore our creativity and celebrate queerness and being different.

Process

  • Collage to overlay on film

  • Concept collage

  • Making the monster masks with modroc

  • Using the masks on set

  • masks made with modroc, liquid latex and acrylic paint.

  • Made a mini set to green screen characters in to in post.

  • Another mini set, made from knitting machine swatches

  • BTS of sexy builder scene.

  • Created washing machine disco by covering corner of room in tin foil and disco lights.
